Sorry to hear about all the botched surgeries. I can totally understand not wanting to get any surgery after that. I’ve had a few minor surgeries over the years besides the knee scope and every time I do think about what if something goes wrong.

My only trepidation in getting my knee scoped is the failure of recent in my family with surgery.

Father passed because of a failed prostate surgery. Mother was partially paralyzed from a botched hip replacement. Step Mother has to have her neck re-fused because of another botched surgery.

I’m just bummed about the timing of this incident.

In the past I’ve pushed through pain and injury. Sometimes I got by with it, other times I just made things much worse.

One time I came back too fast from a broken fibia. Ok I did a 4 hour ride with a cast still on my leg. A month after I got the cast off I injured my knee. Doc said something about building muscle strength up too fast for the tendons and ligaments

I finally had the knee scoped because some cartilage was rubbing on my hamstring tendon. I was back spinning on the bike 2 days latter and racing again in a month. I had spent about 6 months having trouble doing any real training. If you do need something with the knee and then can scope it, don’t hesitate to get it done.
